Do not post my artwork on sites that might be seen by:
-Akira or anime fans who are not interested in yaoi, doujinshi, and otaku culture
-Officials who hold the rights to Akira including the live action movies,
cartoons, comic books, etc.
Please refrain from putting my artwork on sites that those people might visit.
Even if you have good intentions, this actually makes it very stressful for me to draw my fan art.
There is a big difference in ideas about fan art in Japan and other countries.
The majority of Japanese otaku want to keep fan art underground.
I am worried that posting fan art to public places where non-otaku
might see them may end up making things difficult for some people.
Please understand and respect these cultural differences by not posting this art publicly.
In Japan, it is very different for fans of otaku culture
than it is for those who live in other countries.
The majority of people in other countries do not know about otaku culture unless
they are otaku themselves and there is no negative image of the otaku.
In Japan, there is a very negative image of otaku and some people have even harassed or
attacked and people for being otaku. Companies that produce anime,
manga and video games in Japan do not prosecute people who live outside of Japan,
but they will go after fans who reproduce images
or sometimes even those who draw fan art inside of Japan.
So please understand that by publishing fan art
in public places where non-fans or company officials might see them,
you are potentially putting the artists in danger.
